VA In-Home Care Benefits
Most veterans don’t realize they’re eligible for a variety range of in-home care services provided by the VA Community Care Networks.
The services our veterans receive include:
-
Homemaker and home health aide services
-
In-Home-based primary care
-
Respite services for families and loved ones
-
Adult day health care
-
Telehealth
To start the process, you’ll need a health assessment with a primary care physician within the VA Health System. If your doctor determines a need for care, your VA caseworker will determine the type and quantity of care you need and then help you choose a home care agency, like Southern Angels Home Care. Once in our system, we will provide you or your veteran loved one with outstanding in-home care.
VA Aid & Assistance

VA A&A was designed to help those living with temporary or permanent illnesses or disabilities afford short- or long-term care. In order to be eligible for VA A&A, you must have served at least 90 days of active duty with at least one day during a period of war, and you must not have received a dishonorable discharge.
VA Healthcare
VA health care covers care for your physical and mental health. This includes a range of services from checkups to surgeries to home health care. It also includes prescriptions and medical equipment.

Veterans Eligibility Check List
There isn't a single "VA eligibility checklist" because the requirements vary significantly depending on the specific benefit, such as healthcare, disability, pension, or home loans. Generally, you must be a veteran with an honorable discharge, meet minimum service length requirements (e.g., 24 continuous months for healthcare), and provide documentation like your DD214, income information, and personal details.
