We are a licensed In-Home Care Service dedicated to providing non-medical services to individuals who have a need for help, or frail, maybe at-risk, or just recuperating from medical procedures in the comfort, familiarity, and safety of their own home.
Founded with the mission of providing essential in-home care services to all ages in need of help or just companionship. Over the years we have expanded our services in order to better serve those in communities throughout the Gulf Coast Region.
Southern Angels Home Care, we specialize in non-medical tailored care that supports the well-being and independence of each individual. Our management team has decades of experience within the healthcare profession and hand pick the most compassionate professionals for our team. Toni Thomas
Co-Founder & CEO
Toni Thomas Dorsey, Chief Executive Officer and the proud co-founder/owner of Southern Angels Homecare since 2025. Born and raised in Waveland, Mississippi, Toni has always been guided by compassion and a strong commitment to helping others. Her passion for caring for the elderly inspired her to create a space where seniors can receive the quality care, respect, and comfort they truly deserve.
Toni started her healthcare career in 2015, over 20 years ago help those in need. However, in 2019, she decided to venture into the healthcare business as the owner of Sharron Angels Homecare, located in Waveland, Mississippi.
A graduate of Everest University in Florida with an Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies, Toni blends professionalism with a personal touch in everything she does. She takes pride in leading with heart, integrity, and dedication—values that shine through in the compassionate care her clients receive every day. Through her work, Toni continues to make a positive difference in the lives of seniors and their families across her community.

Dara Hinkel
Co-Founder & COO
We are pleased to introduce Ms. Dara Hinkel, LPN and Chief Operations Officer/Co-Founder of Southern Angels Home Care. Ms. Hinkel is an innovated professional and experienced leader with over 30-plus years in the Nursing profession. Her work experience includes rehabilitation, medical surgical, home-health, and hospice.
Her accomplished professional experiences have moved her forward conducting research in not only in cardiac services with highly respected Cardiologist, but also senior living, in-home care services and the need for more in-home care type services.
Each of those 30-plus years of nursing have been very successful and rewarding, her passion has always been in the areas of home care services. Serving as a field home-health nurse, sales and marketing of nursing services, to Director of Assisted Living
Services.
Ms. Hinkel has always had great pride in providing home care services to those who need it, seniors who require it, and the veterans that deserve it.
